Before we get started, it’s important to distinguish between Casino Hold’em and Texas Hold’em, which although are played in the same way, are two completely different types of Poker games. The key difference is that Texas Hold’em is a multi-player game wherein individuals compete for the pot contributed by the players themselves, whereas, as described earlier, Casino Hold’em is a single player game against the dealer’s hand. The latter game was created by Stephen Au-Yeung in 2000, the same genius behind other table games like Top Draw Blackjack, Caribbean Hold’em, and Lucky Draw Baccarat. Prior to inventing casino games, he was a very successful advantage gambler and Poker player who over the years has won a good amount of money and has several gambling titles under his belt, including the British No Limit Championship in 1992. The game came into being while he was looking for a tool to help train and prepare his girlfriend at the time to play Texas Hold’em Poker, which explains why both games share similar gameplay. He began to develop casino games as he felt his superb gambling skills were restricted to just Poker cash games and tournaments. The game he developed was first called Hold’em Against the House, which fittingly describes the game, but doesn’t perhaps have as good a ring to it as Casino Hold’em. It took a couple of years to catch on and only became a licensed game in the UK in 2007. Today it is played in over one hundred land-based casinos and over one thousand online casinos worldwide.

Playing Online Casino Hold’em

A game of Casino Hold’em is played with a standard 52 card deck and begins with each player making an Ante wager. An Ante is a forced bet that everyone must make in order to stay at the table. It forces there to be at least some payout in the pot, increasing the relative value of playing a hand to folding. There is also an optional AA+ Bonus side bet which you can also make at this point. Next, the dealer gives the player and himself two hole cards face down, followed by three community cards face up on the table. This is called the flop. The three cards are laid on what is termed the board, which will eventually contain five cards. After examining the cards in hand, each player must decide whether to fold their hand and lose the Ante bet or call by placing an additional bet double the size of the Ante. The croupier then deals two more community cards for a total of five on the board, called the turn and river, respectively. Soon after, the dealer reveals his own two cards. Both hands are scored according to the highest poker value combination of the two hole cards and five community cards. Essentially, who has the best hand wins, however, the dealer must have a pair of fours or better to qualify. If the dealer does not qualify then the Ante will pay as illustrated in the Ante paytable below and the Call bet will push (neither win nor lose). If the dealer qualifies and has stronger cards, you will lose both the Ante and Call bets. If the dealer qualifies, yet your hand is the stronger of the two, then the Ante pays out in line with the Ante paytable, whereas the Call bet will pay 1:1 (even money). If both you and the dealer have equal hands, then both Ante and Call bets will push.

In February 2008, the Seneca Gaming Corp. announced the expansion of the Seneca Niagara Casino & Hotel Property. It will add more hotel rooms, and other amenities.^{[citation needed]} It acquired Fallsville Splash Park, located next to the Seneca Niagara Casino, which was condemned by the State of New York and transferred to the Seneca Gaming Corporation. It was demolished for Phase 2 of expansion of the Niagara Falls casino.

Adjacent properties owned by Seneca Gaming Corp.[edit]
Adjacent properties owned by the Seneca Gaming Corporation are not located on Seneca territory owned by the Nation, therefore it is technically illegal to put slot machines or provide for gambling. The Splash Park Property where Phase 2 of expansion is to take place is also located on non-sovereign land.
The former Convention Center is located on sovereign land, and the casino is operated by Gaming Corporation.
Taxing of non-sovereign adjacent properties owned by the Gaming Corporation[edit]
Use of the surrounding area adjacent to the Seneca Niagara Casino by the Seneca Nation for gaming has been the subject of a class-action lawsuit filed by attorney John Bartolomei in October 2010 on behalf of Fallsite LLC and residents who are angry over a 4% tax hike to be passed in 2011. The Seneca Niagara Casino is located on sovereign land owned by the Seneca Nation of Indians.
But, the land adjacent to the casino, including parking garages adjacent to Niagara St., the site of a former Pizza Hut on the corner of Niagara St. and John B. Daly Blvd., the Holiday Inn property on the corner of 3rd Street and Duggar Drive, the former Niagara Aerospace Museum in between 3rd and 4th Streets and Niagara Street and Wendel Way, the former E. Dent Lackey Plaza (now a parking lot) in between Wendel Way, Duggar Drive, 3rd Street and 4th Street, former private homes on 5th and 6th Streets, and the Splash Park Property on the corner of Falls Street and John B. Daly Blvd, are owned by the Seneca Gaming Corporation. The Seneca Gaming Corporation is non-sovereign and therefore taxable, but was left off the city tax rolls. If taxed, the corporation would be the largest payer of taxes in the City of Niagara Falls.^{[citation needed]}

The property is one of five stand-alone casinos that was awarded a slots license by the Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board on December 20, 2006.^[1] It was developed by the Las Vegas Sands corporation. The casino was slated to open in July 2008, but demolition took longer than expected due to the heavy concrete foundations of the old steel building. Its opening was delayed until the second quarter of 2009. The first concrete for the complex, which is located on the former Bethlehem Steel land on the south side of the city, was poured on November 15, 2007.
It opened on May 22, 2009. While the Las Vegas Sands owned several properties, this was the only casino in the United States to carry the Sands brand in its name, since the original Sands Hotel in Las Vegas was demolished and replaced with The Venetian, and the Sands Atlantic City was closed and demolished.
In the winter of 2009–2010, the casino was granted a license for table games which allowed the casino to expand to include 180 table games, including poker, blackjack and craps.^[2] Table games began operation on July 18, 2010. The Sands Hotel opened on May 27, 2011.
Following the addition of table games, the casino has become a popular destination for Asian Americans from New York City, who frequently travel to the casino on motorcoach buses operated by Chinatown bus lines. More than 3,000 riders a day traveled by bus to the casino from Asian American neighborhoods in New York City. The casino has the busiest motorcoach business of any casino in Pennsylvania.^[3]

In March 2018, it was announced that the property would be sold to Wind Creek Hospitality for $1.3 billion.^[4]^[5] Wind Creek Hospitality had plans for a $190-million expansion to the property that would add a 300-room hotel and possibly an indoor water park.^[6] The sale was completed in May 2019,^[7] and the property was renamed as Wind Creek Bethlehem in July 2019.^[8]

The Casino du Lac-Leamy (formerly the Casino de Hull) is a government-run casino in Gatineau, Quebec, Canada.
The casino was opened on March 24, 1996, the third of a group of casinos built by the provincial government to raise funds. Ottawa, the larger city across the river, was also planning to build a casino in the early 1990s, but these plans were blocked by the provincial government. The Gatineau casino thus also serves Ottawa and EasternOntario. It is operated by Société des casinos du Québec a subsidiary of Loto-Québec. In 2016 the casino provided the government with some $244,679,000 in profit, employed more than 1,400 people and attracted more than two and a half million visitors.^[2]

This lake is home to a large fountain, whose jet is visible through much of the old Hull sector during the summer. To the east of the casino is Lac Leamy, from which it gets its name. Attached to the casino is a 349-room Hilton hotel. The casino also has an 1100-seat theatre that has become one of the region's main music venues. The casino is also home to several bars and restaurants. In the casino itself there are more than 1,800 slot machines and more than 65 tables including roulette, blackjack, baccarat, craps and Texas hold 'em poker. It is open 24/7.
